Aberdeen Sinfonietta Concert

Sunday 25 May 2014 Music Hall, Aberdeen

On May 25th the choir joined up with the Aberdeen Sinfonietta to sing in the Music Hall. This concert featured a programme which was perfect for early summer. The choir was joined by the fast rising star, local Aberdeenshire soprano, Eleanor Dennis to sing John Rutter’s exuberant Magnificat. The programme also features Faure’s Cantique de Jean Racine, Mozart’s Serenata Notturna and Exultate Jubilate, and three beautiful and evocative orchestral miniatures by Delius – On Hearing the First Cuckoo in Spring, A Song Before Sunrise, and the Walk to the Paradise Garden.
