There is no parking on Countesswells Road from the junction with Wellbrae Terrace to Mannofield Church. Drivers please allow extra time so that you arrive in time for the 1 September rehearsal.

7:30 St Machar's Cathedral Aberdeen
The second performance in our 70th Anniversary Year is Bach's Christmas Oratorio (parts 1, 2, 3 and 6). A distinguished group of soloists will perform with Aberdeen Bach Choir and Aberdeen Sinfonietta in St Machar's Cathedral on Saturday 5 December 2026, almost exactly 70 years since the first performance of the same work in the Cathedral on 15 December 1956.

The first part of the rehearsal after a fice minute warm up on Tuesday 1 Septmber 7:30-9:30 in Mannofield Church will be sectional, the men moving to the Balmanno Hall until the interval. We will rehearse No. 1, second part pp.12-16 (bars 138-201) and No. 21; pp. 61-70. Please also go back over the two pieces we rehearsed at the first rehearsal - Nos 1 and 54. If time allows, we will revise the first part of No. 1.

The 2026 Annual General Meeting will be held on Tuesday 8 September at 7:00 pm in Mannofield Church, ahead of our normal rehearsal.
The rearranged Summer Workshop, postponed from 6 June, will take place on Saturday 19 September in Albyn School.
