December 2023 - Lux Aeterna
Saturday 2 December 2023 7:30 p.m. St Machar’s Cathedral

Our regular December concerts in St Machar's Cathedral will now take place (normally) on the first Saturday in December, instead of the 'traditional' Sunday performance.

December 2023 Lux Aeterna

The December 2023 peformance features sacred works for choir, vocal soloists, organ and cello, composed in France over a span of a hundred years between the 19th and 20th centuries.

Organist Kamil Mika will accompany the choir and play a short, solo organ piece by Duruflé. The cello soloist in the Requiem will be Alison MacDonald. The vocal soloists will be Heather Ireson, Mezzo Soprano, and Arthur Bruce, Baritone.
